Jindabyne is a superb base from which to ski at nearby Thredbo and Perisher/ Blue Cow resorts. Summer days are long and sunny. The surrounding mountains, lakes and crystal clear streams are ideal for summer recreation.

Beware, Stayz quoted $73 per night but the owner requested $130 since the studio appartment wasn't available, albeit we were using only 4 beds. We actually booked Bogong Heights but were forced into a poorer Andorra 2 upon arrival without prior written notice. The owner Shawn was friendly but 'forgot' to turn the hot water so we had to heat up water in pots for a shower upon arrival, after 6 hrs drive. The appartment itself was not so bad but my wife discovered in horror mice feces right in front of the entrance. Finally, the key couldn't be pulled out of the entrance lock so, after the owner didn't respond, we slept with main door unlocked after having piled some furniture from inside.
