PET FRIENDLY
Here at Tantarra we encourage you to feel at home with you well-behaved fur-best friends. They may sleep with you in your room on their own bedding, and have use of the guest gardens and grounds along with you at no extra cost. We ask that you bring along their own food and bedding to help them settle in. A pet pack is supplied for each room for information on such things as walks, beaches, vets, pooch glamour parlours etc. For longer stays Pet friendly rooms are serviced regularly.
ESCAPE THE WORLD, RELAX & UNWIND
As a guest of Tantarra you have full use of our pool area and temple gardens. The pool area is wonderful for use both day and night. The full-size pool, bohemian daybed , tables and chairs, b-b-que , deck lounges, and shaded raised lounging platform are all set into tranquil south-east Asian style gardens. With subdued evening lighting and soft music this very peaceful and romantic area has an almost resort style feel about it. Also, our temple garden is a place of meditation, solitude, peace and harmony. Candles, and incense, enclosure and nature make this the perfect place to unwind and forget your cares.
WHAT TO DO
Lake Macquarie offers a wonderful place to picnic, sail or undertake some water sports, swim, dine out at our many restaurants or just explore. Why not try “jazz in the park” every Friday evening throughout summer.
If you have the time and would like to explore a little more, the magnificent hunter wineries are just a short 45 minute drive away and the thriving city of Newcastle, with its beaches, shops, great history and cosmopolitan feel is only a 20 minute drive away. The Wattagan mountain ranges are another unique attraction; as is our historic and very beautiful Morpeth/Maitland areas.

Shambala is an exotic queen suite with full bathroom, breakfast room o/looking pool, and a very spacious bedroom with both a queen bed and Asian style day bed [which converts to an extra single bed], along with a flat screen T.V, Foxtel and entertainment system, air-conditioning and wireless broadband. Full and private access is available 24hrs a day. A choice of "cafe"- style cooked or continental breakfasts is also included in your tariff - and - of course - well-behaved pets are always welcomed.
