Hawaiian Sands Motor Inn

Hi to all,

Hawaiian Sands Motor Inn is under new management .

My name is Melanie & my partner Kai and I moved down from the Sunshine Coast and took over Hawaiin sands management & maintenance on 30th April 2009.

Hawaiian Sands Motor Inn presented to me a canvas that really deserved a new face.

In the beginning, it was really hard to know where to start.

My mind was boiling over with thoughts and things needing attendance.

The first thing we did was bring in the plumbers, which was hard at the time as every plumber on the Coffs Coast was over booked due to the floods, and had backloads of work for months ahead.

The second was to go through every single room and to experience it as a guest would, and to notice the smallest details that needed attention.

We were adamant that everything be addressed.

It is now 5th July 2009. 2 months later.

We have fallen in love with Hawaiian Sands.

I believe we have the most beautiful spot on the Coffs Coastal waterfront.

With pristine beaches across the road, a Marine Park at our doorstep, islands, inlets, great fishing and all in a walk of 10 minutes or less!

Step out the front and turn left and you will enter national marine park and the long beautiful walks that go with it by foot, for as long as you wish! ( And you could still almost be alone)

Here you can leave a room, walk 20 mtres and see pods of dolphins gliding through the sea!

Turn right, and you have the little OP 81 cafe, (10m), chic, beautiful and relaxing for breakfasts and lunches.

Across the road you have the Hoey Moey, which has undergone new management in the last month and about to release their grand plans for the future. ( Food, music, dining and great for families, kids room and playground)

And there is more, more, more...... the sunday markets, walk to the yacht club, bike rides........ you name it!


I invite and welcome you to come and stay with us to experience the change .

Everyone wants a home away from home.

A motel should be first and foremost clean and safe.

After that, visually appealing.

Something extra that we wish to give the Hawaiian Sands experience for anyone who wishes to stay, is an ambient experience. Sun, Sea, soft music, tables, chairs, smiles, laughter and treasured memories!

Come summer, I couldn't think of anywhere else I'd wish to be!
